Our molded hollow foil board is sized for intermediate foilers under 210 pounds and advanced heavyweight riders. It’s 5’8″ X 28″ at 103 liters displacement with moderately chined rails and tail that offer easy release and minimal touch-down issues when turning hard or pumping. The soft curve of the tail chine smooths out the sudden push that knocks you on your ass from a wave or swell that hard tail chines or squared tails often exhibit.
The first thing people commonly think about hollow boards is that they will be light, and this board certainly is that. Decked out with it’s integrated pad, strap inserts, reinforced foil tracks, and sparkling Gelcoat finish it weighs 13 pounds. And it will stay that light. If you somehow manage to ding a hole in it (it’s a lot tougher than typical foam boards) you can easily drain all the water and repair it with no significant weight gain. EPS retains water even after aggressive drying efforts.
The swing weight of this board is on a par with much lower volume boards. Most of the weight is under your feet. That makes it responsive and easy to turn and pump. We have only built one mold (they are expensive and a bitch to make), and it’s constantly in use, so even though we call this a semi-custom board that doesn’t mean it’s a production board with a stack of them in inventory, you have to order it and wait for it. But your patience will be richly rewarded–this is one hell of a good foilboard.
When you order this board simply check the Semi-custom option on our board Order Form and then choose the colors you want for the bottom, top, and deck pad. Click <Submit> and you’ll be taken to a verification page. Click the pay deposit button and you’ll be taken to a deposit page to make your $200 deposit. When you complete your deposit you’ll be in the queue for production. We’ll send you a completion date. As your board nears completion we will send you a notice to make the final payment.
